Montecristo este unul dintre cele mai cunoscute si mai apreciate brand-uri din portofoliul Habanos si care a devenit etalonul pentru toate celelalte trabucuri cubaneze. Denumirea brandului vine de la eroul romanului lui Alexandre Dumas, „Contele de Montecristo”, citit de catre lector catre torcedorii din fabrica in care s-a infiintat brandul, in 1935. Initial, linia Montecristo era extrem de restransa, cu doar 5 vitole numerotate de la 1 la 5, insa astazi exista o intreaga varietate pentru a satisface toate gusturile. Blendul perfect echilibrat al oricarui trabuc Montecristo este creat cu frunze doar din zona Vuelta Abajo, zona care da cel mai bun tutun din lume.
