Released to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Lagavulin Distillery by John Johnston in 1816.
The palate is light in texture with a full Lagavulin taste that is even bigger than you might expect. Sweet, smoky and warming, with a rising, smoky punch, then dry with more smoke.
The finish is wonderful: clean, very long and smoky. This is a polished and highly handcrafted celebration of Lagavulin, with smoky aromas and a strong taste.
