Pentru a crea DoubleWood 17 ani, David Stewart a apelat din nou la maturarea consecutivă în două butoaie diferite. Single malt-ul este maturat întâi în butoaie din lemn de stejar american, de unde împrumută note vanilate. Apoi este transferat în butoaie din lemn de stejar european folosite anterior pentru sherry. Aici sortimentul îşi însuşeşte arome condimentate, dezvoltă profunzime şi îşi definitivează profilul aromatic.
Miros: Note elegante şi complexe de lemn de stejar, vanilie, miere şi accente de mere verzi.
Gust: Un buchet dulce, dominat de arome de fructe uscate, la care se adaugă note de pralină, lemn de stejar şi un strop de vanilie.
Finish: Lung, dulce, condimentat, cu accente lemnoase.
Culoare: Chihlimbar.
To create DoubleWood 17 years, David Stewart again turned to consecutive maturation in two different barrels. The single malt is first aged in American oak barrels, from where it lends vanilla notes. It is then transferred to European oak casks previously used for sherry. Here the assortment acquires spicy aromas, develops depth and finalizes its aromatic profile.
Smell: Elegant and complex notes of oak wood, vanilla, honey and accents of green apples.
Taste: A sweet bouquet, dominated by aromas of dried fruits, to which notes of praline, oak wood and a touch of vanilla are added.
Finish: Long, sweet, spicy, with woody accents.
Color: Amber.
