Plasencia Cosehca 149 onorează cea de-a 149-a recoltă de tutun a familiei Plasencia, care a fost recoltată în 2014. Este un concept similar cu Plasencia Cosecha 146, care a fost lansat în 2017 și, în timp ce folosea tutun din Honduras pentru ambalaj și o parte din umplutură, a folosit și tutun din Nicaragua pentru liant, precum și ca parte a umpluturii.

Plasencia Cosecha 149 Azacualpa a început cu un amestec de cafea, cacao, cedru, pământ și piper amestecat. Plasencia Cosehca 149 honors the Plasencia family's 149th vintage of tobacco, which was harvested in 2014. It is a similar concept to Plasencia Cosecha 146, which was released in 2017, and while it used Honduran tobacco for the wrapper and part of the filler, it also used Nicaraguan tobacco for the binder as well as part of the filler.
This time, however, the cigar is a Honduran cigar, with the wrapper coming from Olancho, San Agustín; the binder from Jamastran Valley; and the filling a blend of Jamastran, Olancho and Talanga Valley tobaccos.
Plasencia Cosecha 149 Azacualpa started with a blend of coffee, cocoa, cedar, earth and mixed pepper. On some cigars, I'll get a "mocha" note that has a fusion of coffee and cocoa, but in this case, the two notes were separate and distinct. At the beginning, coffee and cocoa appeared as the main note. Later in the first third, a mineral note appeared. At the same time, earthy notes came to the fore.
