Reserva de la Familia is the luxurious Jose Cuervo range, and Reserva de la Familia Extra Añejo is the most awarded tequila in the range, created as an aromatic symphony that tells the story of the unique Mexican terroir with every tasting. The story of this spectacular liqueur begins ten years before it was bottled, with the planting of blue agaves on the domain's best volcanic soil. Only the best plants, which have reached the age of 10-12 years, are hand-selected to create the basis of what will become the sublime elixir, and of these only the core is used, matured at the La Rojeña distillery for 48 hours, first with steam and then in its own heat. The maturation process is also a complex one, the tequila will spend some time in French and American oak barrels before Master Distiller Alex Coronado composes the final blend, splendidly bottled in a bottle decorated by a different Mexican artist each year and hand-sealed with the Cuervo family emblem.
Aromatic profile: Sophisticated and complex, defined by broad aromas of almonds, wood, apples, vanilla and cinnamon, with a velvety, rich aromatic finish.
