Description
Soiul Chardonnay semnează caracterul inedit al sortimentelor din portofoliul Cloudy Bay încă din 1986. Complexitatea şi savoare acestui sortiment se datorează în primul rând strugurilor culeşi în a doua perioadă a lunii martie din podgorii situate în subregiunile Brancott, Fairhall, Ben Morven şi Central Wairau Valley, dar şi procedeelor de producţie elaborate astfel încât să păsteze excelent aroma varietală. Pentru a-şi definitiva caracterul puternic, uşor exotic, vinul este păstrat în butoaie din lemn de stejar franţuzesc timp de un an. Temperatura ideală de consum este de 10-12°C.
Notele degustării:
Miros: Un buchet cu iz tropical, compus din flori de portocal, grepfrut, nuci şi nectarină zemoasă.
Gust: Puternic fructat, învăluit în accente de condimente, lemn de stejar şi un pic de fum.
Culoare: Galben pai.
The Chardonnay variety marks the unique character of the assortments in the Cloudy Bay portfolio since 1986. The complexity and flavor of this assortment is primarily due to the grapes picked in the second period of March from the vineyards located in the Brancott, Fairhall, Ben Morven and Central Wairau Valley sub-regions, but also to the production procedures developed in such a way as to preserve the varietal aroma excellently. To finalize its strong, slightly exotic character, the wine is kept in French oak barrels for one year. The ideal consumption temperature is 10-12°C.
Tasting notes:
Smell: A tropical bouquet composed of orange blossoms, grapefruit, nuts and juicy nectarine.
Taste: Strongly fruity, wrapped in accents of spices, oak and a bit of smoke.
Color: Straw yellow.
